Widget Areas

The Blogger Theme includes Before Header Widgets, Header Right, Before Archive Widgets and Archive Internal Widgets areas as default.

#1 Before Header Widgets

1. Go to Appearance > Widgets
2. Add Paragraph with text of your choice and link
3. Background Color can be managed at Appeance > Customize > Colors
   

#2. Header Right – at right side of Logo and above primary navigation

1. Go to Appearance > Widgets
2. Add Search to Header Right

#3. Before Archive Widgets – at top of Blog(default blog archive) Page

1. Add Paragraph text of your choice
2. Background Color can be managed at Appeance > Customize > Colors
   

#4. Archive Internal Widgets – after 1 row of archive grid

1. Container
   1. Padding Top and Bottom 2%
   2. Margin Top 5%
   3. Container Width 680px
2. Inside Container
   1. Heading H3 with align center
   2. Paragraph Text
   3. Email Newsletter Block from Genesis Block which only connect to mailchimp right now
      1. Configure settings <YOURSITEURL>/wp-admin/admin.php?page=genesis-blocks-settings at Admin > Genesis Blocks > SettingsEnter your mailchimp api key
         
      2. Configure Block Settings as required
         

Demo Widgets

If you use the optional One-Click Theme Setup feature, demo widget content will automatically be added for you. The demo widget areas each contain a text widget.

The Blogger Theme includes 4 widget areas on Footer as default, which are output directly above the Footer if set. Footer can be used to show visitors useful information, and will be shown on every page of the website.

The background color for the footer section is assigned in the Theme Colors Customizer Settings.

#1 Footer Widgets

1. Go to Appearance > Widgets
2. Add widgets of your choice to Footer 1 and Footer 2 widgets areas.
   Note: By default theme demo adding 4 widget areas
3. To change footer widget areas go to  Appearance > Theme Settings > Footer  and update “Footer Widgets Columns” settings

Add your site logo with Image Block

1. Add Heading H3

2. Add List with links to your important pages or posts

3. Footer 3

1. Add Heading H3

2. Add List with links to your important pages or posts

4. Footer 4

1. Add Heading H3

2. Add List with links to your important pages or posts

3. Social icons with below settings

• Add social icons with links
• Align center
• Select “Logos Only” style
• Background color #000000

Demo Widgets

Show Related Posts

We are showing related posts of current post’s categories with random order with help of Display Posts Shortcode Plugin

1. Add Heading h4 with Additiona CSS Class(es) “widget-title” to After Entry Widgets
2. Add Custom Html to After Entry Widgets
3. Add Below Shortcode to Custom HTML to show Related Posts like we are showing on our theme. 
   • Parameters:
     • posts_per_page: 3
     • wrapper: div
     • tax_term: current (to shows posts under current post’s categories)
     • image_size: genesis-featured-square
     • class: one-third
     • orderby: rand (to show in random order)
     • taxonomy: category (for other post type archive any other taxonomy can be used)

Column Classes to use

• 2 Columns: “one-half”
• 3 Columns: “one-third”
• 4 Columns: “one-fourth”
• 6 Columns: “one-sixth”
