Coaching Plus Theme

One Click Theme Setup

The Coaching Plus Theme was developed to use the new One-Click Demo Install feature. With the click of a button, the Coaching Plus Theme will be installed along with all of the plugins we recommend and our sdemo content, making your site appear just like our DEMO SITE in just a few minutes.

Once installed, all you need to do is modify the Theme Settings and update with your preferences.

To use the One-Click Theme Setup, perform the following steps:

  1. Backup your website database and files
  2. Under Appearance > Themes, click the Add New button near the top of the page
  3. Upload the .zip file: coaching-plus.zip
  4. Activate Coaching Plus Theme
  5. Upon activation, you will be taken to a page where you can run the optional automated setup. Click the blue button for Install Pack – this will begin the installation process
  6. If you are not automatically redirected to the Theme Setup page, you can find it at:
    Genesis > Child Theme Setup
    {website}/wp-admin/admin.php?page=genesis-getting-started

We’ve curated a few plugins we think will help you use Course Maker Pro. The following plugins will be automatically installed and activated during the One-Click Theme Setup:

Demo Content

When the One-Click Theme Setup is finished, you will see there are a few new pages created: Home, About, Work with Me, Blog, Contact, Landing Page, GUTENBERG OPTIMIZED, Custom Category Layout.
You will also notice there are 10 sample blog posts created(only if your wordpress is fresh Install) – feel free to modify or remove these demo posts and pages as needed.

You will also notice there are some categories created too – feel free to modify or remove them as needed.

The new Home and Blog pages will be assigned under Settings > Reading

Demo Content Looks Different?

Sometime because of Site have not enough posts to display then it looks different then demo. Demo content only installed if WordPress site is new Install.

Installing Theme

Coaching Plus Theme from Anchored Design is built exclusively for the Genesis Framework. If you have not already purchased the framework, you can do that here.

Coaching Plus Theme requires Genesis 3.0 or newer. Update your website to the latest version of the Genesis framework before installing Coaching Plus Theme.

Download Your Theme

After your purchase is completed, you will receive an email confirmation with a download link to the Coaching Plus Theme. Your purchase of the Coaching Plus theme includes a file called coaching-plus.zip — this contains all theme files.

  1. Install the Genesis Framework.
    From your WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance > Themes.
    Click “Add New.”
    Click “Upload Theme.”
    Browse your computer to upload the file you purchased from StudioPress.
    You do not need to activate the Genesis Framework.
  2. Install Coaching Plus Theme.
    From your WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance > Themes.
    Click “Add New.”
    Click “Upload Theme.”
    Browse your computer to upload the file called “coaching-plus.zip.”
    Click “Activate” when the file is finished uploading.
    You will be taken to a screen where you can run the optional One-Click Theme Setup

Regenerate Thumbnail

You can download the plugin on wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails or simply search for Regenerate Thumbnails on Plugins → Add new in your WordPress backend to install the plugin.

After you have installed and activated the plugin, you can regenerate your thumbnails on Tools → Regen. Thumbnails.

Force Regenerate Thumbnail

Force Regenerate Thumbnails allows you to delete all old images sizes and REALLY regenerate the thumbnails for your uploads.

You can download the plugin on https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/ or simply search for Force Regenerate Thumbnails on Plugins → Add new in your WordPress backend to install the plugin.

After you have installed and activated the plugin, you can regenerate your thumbnails Go to Tools -> Force Regenerate Thumbnails OR select specific images from the Media Library list mode to regenerate.

Logo / Site Title

The Coaching Plus Theme comes with the option to use styled text for your site title and tagline or to upload a logo image of your choice.

To configure these options, from your WordPress dashboard click on Appearance > Customize. Open the “Site Identity” menu.

Styled Text Logo

Enter the name of your blog into the SITE TITLE field and then enter your blog’s tagline into the TAGLINE field. Click “save”.

Image Logo

You can also use an image for your logo. If you choose this option, then your logo will be displayed in place of the SITE TITLE and the TAGLINE content.

Click the ‘Select Logo‘ button and choose your logo file from the Media Library.

The ideal logo size for the theme is 300px × 100px. We have disabled the forced cropping option to allow for more flexible logo sizes. However, we recommend that you keep the image logo to no wider than 250px so it looks like the theme demo.

Header Settings

Header Navigation Menus

The background color for the header section is assigned in the Theme Colors Customizer Settings.

Assign the Standard Header Left and Right Menu

#1 Menu Left

  1. Go to Appearance > Menus
  2. Create a new menu and name it appropriately – example: “Menu Left”
  3. Add menu items to the list on the right side
  4. Check the box to assign this menu to the “Menu Left” location
  5. Click Save Menu to save your changes

#2 Menu Right

  1. Go to Appearance > Menus
  2. Create a new menu and name it appropriately – example: “Menu Right”
  3. Add menu items to the list on the right side
  4. Check the box to assign this menu to the “Menu Left” location
  5. Click Save Menu to save your changes

Theme Colors

With Coaching Plus Theme, you can change the color scheme of the entire site with just a few clicks! Go to Appearance > Customize, then navigate to the “Colors” tab.

We have included several options to make changing the theme colors easy and straightforward. You will see a live view of your changes in the Customizer Preview Pane. Change these values to suit your needs, and be sure to hit “Publish” when you are ready.

If you do not like the changes you have made, each color has a “Default” button you can click to restore its default color value.
